About me
MY MOTHER ALWAYS SAID I'D GROW UP TO BE A WRITER
Turns out she was right.
I’m a creative conceptual copywriter with an art background. With over a decade of experience in Shanghai and Prague, I’m now living in Jersey City (it’s near New York but in New Jersey).
My work hooks audiences with insight-driven messaging that makes brands sing.
Here are six other things that make me me:
ONE. I haven’t always been a copywriter. I’ve also been an apparel designer, graphic artist, music journalist, restaurant host, video game writer, and sausage-maker (and they were damn good). I'm also learning how to tattoo.
TWO. I’m in a lot of bands. I sing and also play the drums, handpan, and guitar (cowboy chords only).
THREE. I can speak Mandarin Chinese. Well enough to have a decent conversation, but not well enough for nearly nine years in Shanghai. It’s my secret shame.
FOUR. I love tabletop gaming. My favorite parts of the hobby are creating memorable characters and painting killer models.
FIVE. My three favorite bands are Coheed and Cambria, The Gaslight Anthem, and the Mountain Goats. The last the is lowercase on purpose.
SIX. Lactose and I don’t get along. No, the pills don’t help.
